You Don’t Need a Campfire to Make These Grilled Peach S’mores

There’s never a time in my life where s’mores seem like a bad idea; but without an open flame, sometimes s’mores seem like a really inconvenient dessert to crave.

In honor of National S’mores Day, we’ve created an alternative method to create these campfire treats sans campfire. All you need is a grill and a culinary torch. Happy torching!

Now, we’re going to be getting fancy with it. We’re making Grilled Peach and Dark Chocolate S’mores. You can omit the peach and choose whatever kind of chocolate you want for this recipe, it’s really dealer’s choice. But with stone fruit in season at the moment, grilled peaches just sounded too good to pass up!

Sidenote: Trader Joe’s marshmallows are legit. If there is one near you, get your marshmallows here!

Okay, so you’re going to slice your peaches and then place them onto a grill heated to medium high heat. Grill until you get some really nice lines on the fruit and then flip to get those same lines on the other side. I find it’s usually between 3-4 minutes each side. Set those aside once they’re done.

Now, grab your fire source. Today, I’m using the RSVP Culinary Torch and I am really excited because I love all things fire. It’s an easy to use hand-held flame that gives you a consistent stream, especially necessary when you’re making something delicious like créme brulée.

Now grab a skewer and light up those marshmallows! The Endurance® BBQ-Skewers do an excellent job of serving as miniature marshmallow holders.

Now, to add a special touch, I like to take the flame to the chocolate pieces as well to get a nice charred flavor and get them super melty.

And then…stack!

And then try to fit this giant, delicious bite into your mouth. *Drool*

The Recipe: Grilled PEach S’mores

1 Peach, sliced
Dark chocolate squares
Graham Crackers

Cut peaches into 1mm wide slices. Brush or spray with coconut oil on each side and place on grill set to medium high heat. Grill each side 3-4 minutes until well-marked lines on the fruit.

Place dark chocolate squares onto a half square of graham cracker. Flame with culinary torch about 1 minute, making sure to move constantly to ensure even heat distribution. Stack two marshmallows onto a BBQ skewer or directly onto dark chocolate squares. Flame with culinary torch to desired browning/blackening of marshmallow. Top with grilled peaches and place rest of graham cracker square onto top.
